On the 7th of August, it has come to light that in the wake of escalating allegations regarding prostitution involving actor Dai Xiangyu, he has since issued a denial. Following this, all of his current projects have been put on hold. Meanwhile, Zhang Haowei, who brought the claims to public attention, has expressed his intention to reflect deeply on his actions for the rest of his life.
Dai Xiangyu took to social media to express his thoughts: “As an older male artist without much clout, one can only imagine that no one would want to work with someone who might be a ticking time bomb and lacks significant popularity. All my ongoing engagements have now been suspended, leaving me no choice but to go to great lengths to clear my name. However, even if I were to present proof of my innocence, suspicions would likely persist.”
